Fees & charges

Where our prices come from, what you will see on an invoice, and what to ask us before you sign a service agreement.

We charge within the NDIS price limits

The NDIA publishes the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, which set the maximum a registered provider may charge for each support item. Famycare charges within those limits. Nothing we invoice can exceed them.

The price limits change — usually at least annually, and sometimes mid-year. The current document is always published at ndis.gov.au.

What affects the price of a shift

  • The support item. Personal care, community access and nursing are separate items at separate rates.
  • When it happens. Evenings, nights, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays each attract a different rate under the price limits.
  • The skill level required. Support delivered by a registered nurse is priced differently from standard support work.
  • Ratio. One-to-one support is priced differently from shared or group support.

What you will see on an invoice

Each line shows the date, the support item and its NDIS item number, the hours, the rate and the total. If you are plan-managed we invoice your plan manager; if you are agency-managed we claim through the NDIA portal; if you are self-managed we invoice you directly.

Before you sign a service agreement

Ask us — or any provider — these questions, and get the answers in writing:

  • What are your rates for the supports I actually need?
  • What is your cancellation policy, and how much notice do I need to give?
  • Do you charge for provider travel, and how is it calculated?
  • What happens to my rates when the NDIS price limits change?

Call us on 03 8752 2335 and we will answer all four before you commit to anything, or see understanding your plan for how the budgets work.

Note for the Famycare team: this page deliberately does not publish specific rates, cancellation terms or travel charges, because those were not available when it was written and guessing at them would mislead participants and coordinators. Add your rate card, cancellation policy, travel policy and any loadings, then delete this note. Until then the page is honest but incomplete — and a competitor publishing real numbers will beat it.
