Why Famycare

Six reasons support coordinators, hospital discharge teams and families choose us — and what happens after you get in touch.

Why Famycare

The difference a nurse-led team makes

We are not a labour-hire agency with a care brochure. Clinical judgement sits at the top of the organisation and on the end of the phone at 3am.

  • Nurse-led

Founded and operated by Registered Nurses

Clinical judgement sits at the top of the organisation, not just on the roster. Our leadership are qualified nurses.

  • Always on

    24/7 on-call registered nurse support

A registered nurse is reachable around the clock, so escalations are handled by a clinician rather than an answering service.

  • Experience

20+ years across nursing and disability

Combined nursing and disability support experience across the healthcare and disability sectors.

  • Registered

    Registered NDIS provider

Registered and audited against the NDIS Practice Standards, so plan-managed and agency-managed participants can both use us.

  • Coverage

    Greater Melbourne and Regional Victoria

Support arranged anywhere in Greater Melbourne and Regional Victoria, with 48 hours notice.

  • Breadth

    Eight NDIS service streams

From daily living and community access through to nursing and complex care, coordinated by one team.

How it works

Getting started is four steps

No obligation at any point, and no call centre between you and the people who would actually deliver your support.

  1. Step 1: Get in touch

Call, email or send a referral. A member of the team — not a call centre — takes the details of what you need.

  2. Step 2: Meet and plan

We meet you, understand your goals and your routine, and map the supports in your plan against what you actually want.

  3. Step 3: Matched support begins

We match you with support workers suited to your needs, and put the clinical oversight around them.

  4. Step 4: Review as you go

Your supports are reviewed as your goals change, with a registered nurse on call throughout.
